New Year, New Days… | ||
New Year, New Days… We always need hope, and we need something to hope for. So when we feel this great urge within us, we just have to look around and create a new motive, a new ambition and a new dream to keep our hopes highly solid ad ongoing. I guess the New Year can always give us new hopes for better days, success, happy news and more achievements. Obviously depending on how each one of us individually defines life, happiness and its related blessings, we can wish for our dreams to come true. One of the good things about a life-turning event such as New Year is that we try to promise ourselves to be a better person in one way or another; and of course we usually do it secretly and keep it to ourselves. Sometimes we are focused, we clearly know what we want and why we want it, we have powerful underlying reasons behind it which somehow are motivated to work on it. If this is the case, then we can concentrate on our promises and try to work them out. We need to devote a particular time to ourselves in private and evaluate our deeds, acts, behaviors, words and even our own private thoughts. I would like to emphasize the “private thoughts”, as they play a significant role in what turns out in reality. Our private thoughts should be always improved with faith, strong beliefs and deep sincere gratitude to our Creator, the Almighty God. If we take this point in mind and keep on reminding ourselves that God is aware of all our thoughts, ideas and the plans we have, then we will become more careful and selective. I can say that in this case, we learn to respect ourselves as creatures of the Almighty God and to respect the universe and everything that is created for our sake there. We need to practice to forget ourselves at times and devotedly think of others, from our parents, siblings, friends, teachers to our relatives and people around us, even those who seem strangers to us. Its up to you and for you to make up your mind and see what sort of change you really need in the New Year, and it doesn’t matter if it is one issue or more, but whatever it is, just focus on it with faith and even if you forget it or somehow break your own rules, try it again and again. Don’t worry, it’s a new practice for you and you will learn how to get back in the track even if at times you miss it. You can learn more every day and write down the points you discovered for yourself in a daily journal. These points will help you realize how you can turn your weak points into strong points in the long term! Good Luck Sh. Ghandehari | ||
